May is Pediatric Stroke Awareness Month. Luke, who was one of the number of children that has suffered a pediatric stroke, had a big surprise waiting for him at Shepards Fire Department (Mooresville Station 4) in Mooresville, North Carolina. Luke's Mom, Elizabeth, was on the hunt for a photographer for a super secret event and I was curious! That is when Elizabeth asked me to document Luke meeting his FAVORITE super hero, Flash! I arrive to the fire station early in the morning on Saturday, May 19 and prepared the station for that special moment. Flash, Rick ( Luke's Dad) and I went over what the day entailed and how we were going to pull off such a big surprise. Flash jumped up in the Firetruck and waited for his que. Once Luke walked out into the bay, with no sighting of Flash, the firetruck mysteriously turned on! Luke ran over to see who may have turned the truck on, and to his surprise Flash jumped out of the Firetruck and greeted Luke. Luke was SHOCKED! He just could not wrap his mind around his favorite superhero standing right in front of him! Flash gave Luke a High Five and talked about some of their favorite things, Then the fun began! Flash, Luke and all of Luke's friends and siblings RACED agains Flash, they all ran as fast as they could! Then they posed for a couple of SUPER shots and ended the day hanging out with Flash! Luke even showed off his Lightning Bolt that the Hairstylist designed in his fresh new hair cut! It was such a great day full of smiles and I was so happy to be able to document such a great time in Luke's life!
Spring is Here and I am so HAPPY! The blossoming flowers, the green and the SUN. I had three full days of Easter and Spring mini sessions and all three days were gorgeous! One day was a little chilly but that was just because it snowed a few days prior!! Thanks Punxsutawney Phil for giving us some more winter... You defiantly know spring has arrived if you live near or on a farm like I do! BABY ANIAMLS EVERYWHERE! I had a sweet baby lamb named Molly that was in a few Easter minis but she grew fast and her need to love and attention went away by my last few sessions :( I cant wait for all of the beautiful spring sessions to come!
Enjoy some of my spring mini sessions below!
I had the opportunity to capture this lovely couples engagement session at the BRAND NEW Uptown Indigo wedding and events center in Shelby, NC. The venue was unlike any I have seen around, it has the modern, classy and the historic all tied into one. It is 3 floors of pure bliss, ohh... and did I mention the third floor was a Rooftop floor giving you a beautiful view of uptown Shelby. The venue is also located right next door to the most beautiful Baptist church! If you are looking for a classy modern wedding venue, this is defiantly the place for you! Sorry, I got off topic ;) back to this beautiful couple! I met these two at the Cleveland County Bridal Fair back in the beginning of March so it was great to see them again and this time photographing them! I hope you enjoy their session as well as the venue!
